How much does a HubSpot implementation cost? Every cost explained

Licences, the mandatory onboarding fee, configuration by a partner and the costs that are often forgotten. With a worked example and tips to stay within budget.

Short answer

For an SMB, a HubSpot implementation usually costs between €7,500 and €25,000 one-off for a Professional-level setup, plus annual licences. A simple Starter setup can start at around €2,500. An Enterprise environment with multiple hubs and integrations easily reaches €25,000 to €75,000 or more.

The total cost consists of four parts: licences, HubSpot's onboarding fee, configuration (yourself or through a partner) and ongoing administration.

What makes up the cost?

Many companies only look at the price per user on HubSpot's website. That is only part of the story. Always budget for these four items:

Cost items of a HubSpot implementation
Cost itemTypeWhat does it depend on?
LicencesMonthly or annualWhich hubs, which edition, number of seats and marketing contacts
Onboarding feeOne-off, paid to HubSpotMandatory for Professional and Enterprise, per hub
ConfigurationOne-off, partner or internal hoursComplexity of your process, migration and integrations
Administration and developmentOngoingInternal admin, or a partner on hourly rates or a retainer

1. Licences

HubSpot sells separate "hubs" (including Marketing Hub, Sales Hub and Service Hub) in three editions: Starter, Professional and Enterprise. You pay per seat (user), and for Marketing Hub also for the number of marketing contacts. There is a free CRM too, but it lacks automation and advanced reporting.

Indicative list prices with annual billing, as of October 2026. HubSpot publishes prices in US dollars; euro amounts are in the same range, excluding VAT:

Indicative HubSpot licence prices October 2026

Starter (per hub)A few tens per seat per monthSuitable for small teams and a first step
Sales Hub ProfessionalApprox. $90 per seat per monthSequences, forecasting, workflows
Sales Hub EnterpriseApprox. $150 per seat per monthCustom objects, advanced permissions
Marketing Hub ProfessionalApprox. $800 per monthIncludes 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts
Marketing Hub EnterpriseApprox. $3,600 per monthIncludes 5 seats and 10,000 marketing contacts

HubSpot adjusts prices and bundles regularly, so always check the current HubSpot pricing page before you set a budget. Also note: HubSpot Breeze AI features consume credits. Paid editions include an allowance, but heavy use can cost extra.

2. HubSpot's onboarding fee

For Professional and Enterprise, HubSpot charges a mandatory one-off onboarding fee. Based on the published amounts (October 2026), that is roughly:

  • Sales Hub and Service Hub: approx. $1,500 for Professional and approx. $3,500 for Enterprise.
  • Marketing Hub: approx. $3,000 for Professional and approx. $7,000 for Enterprise.

If you buy multiple hubs, these amounts can add up. Ask at purchase what applies in your situation and what the onboarding covers. HubSpot's onboarding is mainly a technical start: designing your process and a tailored setup are usually not included.

3. Configuration and implementation

This is the biggest variable. Below is a market indication for configuration by a HubSpot partner in the Netherlands, based on hourly rates of roughly €100 to €150:

Indicative costs for configuring HubSpot
Type of implementationOne-off indicationTimeline
Starter: basic CRM and pipeline€2,500 – €7,5001 – 3 weeks
Professional: sales and marketing, workflows, dashboards€7,500 – €25,0004 – 12 weeks
Enterprise: multiple hubs, business units, integrations€25,000 – €75,000+3 – 6 months

What pushes the price up or down:

  • Data migration. From Excel is simple. From another CRM, such as Dynamics 365 or Salesforce, with years of history, notes and attachments takes more time.
  • Integrations. A connection to your ERP, web shop or accounting. Standard connectors are quick, custom work via the API costs more.
  • Number of teams and business units. Multiple brands, countries or companies in one portal require a careful design of permissions and pipelines.
  • Quotes and products. A product library, pricing rules and quote templates.
  • How clear your process already is. Do you know exactly what a lead, MQL and SQL are? That saves a lot. If not, it starts with a RevOps design.

4. Costs that are often forgotten

  • Growth in contacts and seats. Marketing Hub pricing rises with the number of marketing contacts. Clean up inactive contacts regularly, or mark them as non-marketing contacts.
  • Upgrading to Enterprise. Some features, such as custom objects or advanced team permissions, are only in Enterprise. That's a significant price step.
  • Internal hours. Workshops, testing and data clean-up also take your own team's time.
  • Training and adoption. A CRM that isn't used delivers nothing. Budget for training and a period of support after go-live.
  • Administration. An internal admin, or a partner for something like €500 to €3,000 per month, depending on how much you keep developing.
  • Annual contract. In practice, Professional and Enterprise are usually bought per year. You can only scale down at renewal.

Worked example

A B2B company with 10 sales reps and 2 marketers chooses Sales Hub Professional and Marketing Hub Professional:

  • Licences: 10 sales seats at approx. $90 plus Marketing Hub Professional at approx. $800 per month. Together about $1,700 per month, or around $20,000 per year.
  • HubSpot onboarding fee: approx. $1,500 (Sales) plus approx. $3,000 (Marketing), one-off.
  • Configuration by a partner: process design, migration from Excel and an old CRM, one integration, dashboards and training. Roughly €12,000 to €20,000.

Total in year one: roughly €35,000 to €45,000, after which it is mainly licences and administration. For comparison: if lead response time halves and conversion rises by a few percentage points as a result, most B2B companies earn this back comfortably.

How to keep costs under control

  1. Start with the process, not the licences. A clear process design prevents buying features you don't use, or needing expensive reconfiguration later.
  2. Start small and scale up. Begin with the hub and team where the biggest gains are. Expand once it works.
  3. Choose the right edition. Professional is enough for most SMBs. Only move to Enterprise when you are missing a specific feature.
  4. Don't migrate everything. Only bring data you actually use. That saves time and marketing contacts.
  5. Deliver in sprints. Small releases deliver results sooner and prevent the budget from disappearing into one big project that only goes live after months. Read more about our approach.

Frequently asked questions

Is HubSpot free?

There is a free CRM with basic features for contacts, deals and email. For automation, advanced reporting and marketing automation you need a paid edition: Starter, Professional or Enterprise.

Is the HubSpot onboarding fee mandatory?

For Professional and Enterprise, HubSpot charges a one-off onboarding fee as standard. Ask at purchase what applies in your situation and what the onboarding covers.

Can I set up HubSpot myself?

A Starter environment or a simple pipeline is perfectly doable yourself. For Professional or Enterprise, with marketing automation, migration and integrations, it pays to involve an experienced partner. Mistakes in the data model are expensive to fix later.

How long does a HubSpot implementation take?

A basic setup takes 1 to 3 weeks. A Professional implementation for sales and marketing usually takes 4 to 12 weeks. An Enterprise environment with multiple business units and integrations takes 3 to 6 months.

How much does HubSpot cost per month?

It depends on the hubs, the edition and the number of users. A small team on Starter pays a few tens per user per month. A team of ten sales reps with Sales and Marketing Hub Professional quickly reaches around $1,700 per month.

How much does it cost to migrate to HubSpot?

On top of licences and configuration you pay for data migration. From Excel that is limited. From another CRM with lots of history, attachments and custom fields, expect a few thousand to more than €20,000, depending on volume and complexity.
