Privacy policy

Vanderwalt. takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains which data we process and why.
Who are we?
Vanderwalt. is based in the Netherlands and can be reached at rick@vanderwalt.eu.
What data do we process?
When you fill in the contact form or email us, we process the data you provide: name, email address and optionally your company name, phone number and the content of your message.
When you download a whitepaper, checklist or template, take the RevOps scan or the website scan, use the revenue leak calculator, or subscribe to the newsletter, we process your first name, email address and optionally your company name and job title. We also record which download or tool you used, from which page, and for the scan or calculator the result you send us yourself.
If you request a website scan, we also look at the domain you enter: up to 12 public pages of that website and its public DNS records (such as SPF and DMARC), as any visitor can see them. The report can only be opened through a personal link.
What do we use it for?
To answer your question and, if you wish, to schedule an intro call. After a download we send you a short series of emails with follow-up tips related to that download. You only receive the monthly newsletter if you opt in to it separately. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We never sell your data to third parties.
How long do we keep it?
The only thing stored on the website itself is website scans: the request (domain, name, email address, company) and the report. These are deleted automatically after 180 days. Messages from the contact form, data from download forms, the scan, the calculator, the newsletter and chat conversations are kept in our CRM. We keep data as long as needed for our contact, and no longer than two years after the last contact if no collaboration follows. Once you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we stop sending it.
Who do we share data with?
We work with a few carefully selected service providers (processors), with whom we have a data processing agreement:
- HubSpot: our CRM, where we keep contact details and follow-up, and the chat and cookie banner on this website. Data is stored in HubSpot's EU data centre.
- Brevo: for sending follow-up emails and the newsletter.
- TransIP: website and email hosting.
Cookies and analytics
This website loads HubSpot's code, which shows the cookie banner and the chat. HubSpot's analytics and marketing cookies (such as hubspotutk, __hstc and __hssc) are only set after you consent via the cookie banner. If you consent, we can see which pages you visit and link that to your details if you later fill in a form or chat. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. HubSpot also sets a functional cookie that remembers your choice (__hs_cookie_cat_pref) and, if you use the chat, cookies needed to make the conversation work.
Chat
In the chat on this website you talk to Rick, not to a chatbot or AI. What you type in the chat, and any email address you leave, is stored in our CRM (HubSpot) so we can reply. We keep chat conversations as long as other contact details.
Your preference for a light or dark theme is stored locally in your browser. During your visit your browser also remembers your scan or calculator result and whether you've already seen an offer (sessionStorage). This is cleared when you close the tab and is never sent to us. Fonts are served from our own server.
AI and automated decision-making
We don't make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we don't use AI to profile or assess you. The result of the scan and the calculator is calculated in your browser with fixed rules, without AI. Read more in our AI statement.
Hosting
The website is hosted by TransIP in the Netherlands. They process technically necessary data, such as IP addresses in server logs, to keep the site running securely.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. Send an email to rick@vanderwalt.eu. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
